The course will be a hybrid of online and in person training:

Course workshops

Throughout the two weeks you will have the opportunity to meet with experienced industry professionals in workshop activities and talks. Below are the scheduled talks and workshops you will have:

Behaviour Management workshop – You will be shown different strategies for managing classroom behaviour and encouraging positive behaviours.

Meet the SENCO – You will meet with the lead SENCO at our school who will talk through SEN in schools and how to plan and adapt to the needs of young people.

Meet the CAMHS Specialist – You will meet Headteacher Kevin who has years of experience working with CAHM services and will give you an introduction in to working with Mental Health needs.

Meet the recruiter – You will meet Moxi’s recruiter Leann who will work with you to develop and improve your approach to application and cv and cover letter writing.

Courses

We have condensed and improved your course list so we are able to provide a balance of theoretical and practical knowledge which can be gained in the 2 weeks. During the afternoon sessions you will complete 3 hours of theoretical training online through our approved CPD training provider. During the 2 weeks you will complete the following qualifications in class:

Safeguarding for Teachers Certification 2.15 hours
SEND Certification 15 hours
Tackling Hate Crime 3 hours
Learning Disabilities Awareness 0.75
Mindfulness for Children 0.75
Positive Handling in Schools 3 hours
Lesson Planning 1.25
We also ask you to complete 1 course a week independently below:
Prevent 2.75
Mental Health First Aid 2.5 hours
